Sempervivums

Originating in Europe and parts of Asia, Sempervivums are a hardy succulent perennial that form rosettes of fleshy, often succulent leaves. The name Sempervivum is Latin for "ever living", and these plants do indeed live for many years. In fact, some Sempervivums are known to live for over a hundred years!.

Despite their name, Sempervivums are not always hardy plants. In cold climates, they will die back to the ground in winter, but will re-emerge in the spring. In warmer climates, they will grow year-round.

Sempervivums come in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. Some have leaves that are a solid color, while others have a mottled or variegated appearance. The leaves can be round, elongated, or even twisted. The flowers range in color from shades of red and pink to yellow and white.

Sempervivums are easy plants to grow and care for. They require very little water and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures. They are perfect for growing in containers or in rock gardens.

If you are looking for a hardy, drought-tolerant plant that will live for many years, Sempervivums are a good choice. With their wide range of colors and shapes, they are also a great addition to any garden.
